Hi, I’m Alexis. I’m a UX designer currently working at STP enabling service professionals act with confidence— solving for regulatory demands, data security, and service precision at scale.

I started my career in psychology, earning a master’s degree with a focus on how people process information and make decisions in challenging environments. Early on, I led applied research efforts to improve developmental milestones for children in underserved communities, translating complex findings into practical strategies for frontline workers in temporary housing facilities.

I was introduced to UX design by a returning alumni in graduate school. I loved that UX would enable me to apply my knowledge of psychology and human cognition to solve real-world, impactful people problems.

I landed my first UI/UX role at STP, where I help financial service professionals act with confidence in a tightly regulated, complex web application.

I stepped into a lead role as the sole UX designer on a 0-to-1 product launch, redesigning our platform’s core experience during a major tech stack transition. I’ve delivered intuitive workflows, built and maintained their design system, and worked closely with cross-functional teams to scale the product—aligning UX with system architecture and evolving business and user needs.

I’m looking to move into the healthcare industry, where I can help strengthen the systems and tools that support patients, providers, and care teams. I’m highly motivated by work that simplifies complexity and improves health outcomes.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors—gardening in the summer, skiing in the winter, and visiting beautiful places. I volunteer as a writing mentor for high school students in my community, helping them craft their college essays. To relax, I listen to podcasts and paint—lately, I’ve been learning to oil paint.
